Very Unprofessional Company

I just happened to read all these reviews of Volt and I now feel a lot better about myself. I went to a job fair locally about two weeks ago and met the branch manager of the local Volt office. I explained what I was looking for and was assured that he was very interested in me as a candidate for some part time positions I was looking for. He asked me to call back in a week and talk to a recruiter at the Volt office and they would have me take some tests and then place me somewhere. I felt really good about the way he presented himself. Well I called when I was asked to and talked to the recruiter late on a Friday. The recruiter said he would email me a test to take and that he would call me at 10 AM on the following Monday. I took the test and waited at 10 AM on Monday for the call. I waited for an hour and no call. I called the recruiter and he was not in so I left a voice mail asking for a reschedule. Since then I have sent emails and left messages with absolutely no response at all. I know I did well on the test, but I thought they were not calling back because of my age or background or some other personal reason. Well, after reading all these testimonies about how terrible Volt is, I now know it is not me it is just that Volt is a ROTTEN company. All I can say is I am glad I found out up front before they sent me out on some of these bogus jobs others have mentioned.

HORRIBLE!

I can't believe how horrible this volt office is! When you call, the people are rude and make it sound like you're inconveniencing them by calling. They seem like a completely uneducated staff of people that might be better off working at a gas station. They're HORRIBLE! They make you go through all sorts of stupid and time-wasting tests without even offering an interview at a real job. I can't even describe how rude the staff is! They took my contempt for staffing agencies to a new level. Fortunately there are some much better ones out there. STAY AWAY FROM VOLT!!!!!

Sucks in the northwest as well

Volt wants to conduct business verbally instead of using email and snail mail. They promise jobs and then send you out into a job where you are setup to fail. I emailed, phoned the for a job description. Before an interview, got the description, interviewed, double check the job description with the person. That job description was invalid, for the job I was applying for. So after a couple of weeks I was told that my assignment was over, I was notified late in the night I immediately asked for another job and guess what no job was available among all those promises. Of course this was verbal. No paper trail from Volt par for the course. Now they are trying to stop my un-insurance claim. They are using a bogus excuse. I talked to a employment person and he said at my un-insurance, will not stop.

Not Helpful - Volt Los Angeles

After going to Volt and spending several hours taking tests. They never called, I constantly called them with no results. They were NOT helpful in my job search at all. I consider them a complete waste of time

Poor Attitudes & Help

I have been to those people twice. First time hopping for some job that would be long term but all they offer is one or two day jobs if that. They always ask for a test that lasts for 3hrs instead of just giving an interview and thier attitude is as though they cannot take time to help you out

Must be corporate policy

I interviewed for a job through Volt in Detroit. I did not like the recruiter at all but....I needed a job. After the interview I could not get the guy to call me back or respond to email or anything. If I can at all help it, I'll never do any business with anyone from Volt.

volt - mission viejo, ca - j rosado sucks

she gets paid to interview you. they more interviews she has the bigger the commission. after they have you fill out the paper work they could care less if you find a job let alone help you to do it.

No Bueno!

They don't return phone calls, nor do they do anything more than provide "opportunities" which are already being applied for by countless other applicants.
